I wonder how Vulcans see Human marriage. When Vulcans pair off, it’s a bonding of their very souls, while Human marriage is just combining finances
So imagine Jim on one knee in front of Spock with tears in his eyes talking about how this is what he’s wanted more more than anything else and how if Spock says yes he’ll spend the rest of his life making him happy and Spock is just like “Captain, are your student loans that bad?”

Text for Tired Eyes:
Would you tell me to watch my feet, step carefully
and be delicate with all I touch?
If you came back, traveled in time after seeing it all end,
would you tell me to speak more, or less?
Would you say they remembered me,
or did I fall away when I faded into my rebirth,
into my chances to do it again, better?
I wonder if these words will be hieroglyphs to those
that uncover them, translations pondered over
though they were always simple.
We assign meaning to what we find, think it
truth, impartial and objective, but it’s
stained with our fingerprints the moment
we touch it.
I’ll step tenderly anyway, no need for the visit,
I’ll tread quiet and soft, and I’ll keep these words
simple.
